YES to all of the above. Email verification, and block known
spammer IP ranges. Also, how'bout a delay before a new user can
create a new page or even post to an existing page? Real members
won't have a problem with having to wait a couple of days before
they can post, if it means less spam. <br>

Too much "open" = like having no immune system. Selectivity builds
strong communities, and makes membership mean something. <br>
