Hello Sudo Discuss!<br>

I'm going to be staying in Oakland for the month of April and have an<br>
intention of spending as much time as possible in Sudo Room. I visited Omni<br>
Commons in October while in town for the aspiration tech conference and<br>
have been wanting to come back ever since.<br>
<br>
I have been working with a group called Agile Learning Centers who's aim is<br>
to revolutionize education though methodologies adapted from Agile project<br>
management. Over the last 7 months I've been in Everett Washington working<br>
with a few families on a cooperative home school. My time here is over and<br>
I'm making my way back across the country to NYC (my home).<br>
<br>
I'll be going to the JS study group and other events in the space. The mesh<br>
networking stuff also sounds fun and I am keen on learning some hardware<br>
hacking.<br>
<br>
I'd also like to put forward some offerings, I am a front end web developer<br>
and facilitator. If anyone is interested in learning some personal goal<br>
setting and task management stuff or CSS/HTML I'm happy to share my<br>
knowledge. I'm a big fan of collaborative systems thinking and meetings, so<br>
I'll be sure to stop by the sudo room general meeting.<br>
<br>
I'm also bringing a computer tower down, and if I can get my big hard drive<br>
out of it I'd like to donate the computer to the space at the end of the<br>
month (possibly).<br>

the other day i noticed a bunch of copper wires I had near the robot were<br>
gone. I thought it was strange that they were all taken.<br>

today Rob mentioned that someone has taken all the copper windings off of<br>
his project. He also says that a week ago, his phone was stolen from<br>
where it was with his shirt, and his shirt was found outside.<br>

We all should have seen this coming but I really don't want this to keep<br>
happening. I think we might need to start thinking about locks on the<br>
sudoroom/CCL space, on all three doors connecting the room.<br>
<br>
when members close down the space they will be able to lock the doors and<br>
then we don't have to worry as much about people tearing apart our hard<br>
work so they can cash in copper to get a few bucks...<br>

Hey Sudo!<br>

I was hoping we could get some basic lighting together for a show on Sunday<br>
and didn't know if Sudo/Sudoers may have some lighting we could use<br>
temporarily to add a bit of ambiance.<br>
<br>
I spoke with Rob (don't have his email handy) the other day and he said he<br>
was working on some cool lighting stuff..<br>
<br>
I saw the cool lighting with Creature Human Creature Human performance and<br>
it was amazing how it transformed the ballroom into a more intimate-feeling<br>
space - it'd be cool to try to start being able to do that (albiet at a<br>
less-professional scale) with other stuff we do in the ballroom to.<br>
<br>
Advice, help, thoughts?<br>

Hi friends,<br>
Hopefully some of you have received invoices for April rent and March<br>
shared expenses at the Omni. You may have noticed that we've switched our<br>
invoicing software over to Quickbooks. Their credit card processing fees<br>
are much lower than Wave's (our previous software), so we're able to save<br>
the Omni a little bit of $$. Yay!<br>
<br>
If you haven't yet received your rent and shared expense invoices, check<br>
your spam folders! I noticed that emails from Quickbooks get delivered to<br>
the "promotions" tab on my gmail account.<br>
<br>
You should still be able to pay your invoices with a credit card, but let<br>
me know if you have any trouble. This is the first round of invoices we've<br>
sent using Quickbooks so there may be a few glitches to work out.<br>
<br>
Please pay your invoices as soon as you're able and let the finances<br>
working group know if you will be late in paying them or if you have any<br>
questions.<br>
