don't worry about the second tuesday thing.. just say that Jake from Sudoroom<br>
wants to sponsor this event and that we want to reserve the ballroom for that<br>
date. As soon as your request comes in, i'll push to get it confirmed.<br>

I'm assuming we can collect donations of some kind to give to the Omni for use<br>
of the space? Just whatever is normal for an event like this at Gilman i<br>
guess. That's one of the questions on the form you'll see at the above link.<br>

Also, sudoroom will be able to supply a lot of cool electronic STUFF for the<br>
tables, so i think people who come to this will be very pleased.<br>

note: sudoroom constantly has a big e-waste pile, and if you think the event<br>
will add to the unwanted electronics pile, we should plan for someone to take a<br>
truck to Universal Waste in Fruitvale after the event to clear it all out.<br>

I wanted to ask about how Sudo Room is doing and all that, but Mitch says<br>

be fine, and I printed up a pile of handbills and started to go around<br>
promoting the event, an event page on Facebook that got really good<br>
attention, and my first physical stop being Ace Monster Toys’ open house<br>
night. I really want to lay into the “DIY Electronics” part this year, as we<br>
have attracted plenty of the “Musicians” part in the past couple of them and<br>
I want to balance it out and get back to the kind of thing where you and<br>
Mitch met, get the maker/hardware hacker/tinkerers interested. I have a<br>
variety of surplus components to give away, a bit of redistribution that I<br>
figured you would like.<br>

Anyway, right after my visit to Ace, Gilman’s booker told me that the day<br>
they had promised had been taken for an event that the landlord (The Caning<br>
Shop) was doing, and suggested February 26th, the following Sunday.<br>
<br>
Now they are telling me that there’s something going on that day and how<br>
about Saturday the 25th?<br>
<br>
It’s just a month away at this point and I need to be able to promote it with<br>
a definite date, and I would like a Sunday.<br>
<br>
My question: is there enough space for it at Sudo Room, and would you be<br>
interested in hosting the event this year? It would be on Sunday the 19th<br>
(the original date) or Sunday the 26th.<br>
<br>
Please let me know yea or nay ASAP, as our time frame to promote the event is<br>
ever narrowing.<br>
