you're correct that you can cut that type of LED tape along any of the dotted<br>
lines.  It's made up of a bunch of independant circuits which each have 3 LEDs<br>
and resistors and run on 12V, and then they're all in parallel for 12V down the<br>
whole strip.  The current draw from your 12V power supply will change with the<br>
number of LEDs, but the voltage will always be 12V.<br>

works they way I think it does.  My only question, really, is whether I can<br>
just cut the strip at the designated locations and it will work fine with a<br>
12v power supply without any need for extra resistors?  It looks like the<br>
LEDs all sit in parallel along the strip so therefore…?<br>
