i agree! we *do* need a better system, and i say, go for it, steve & robb:
- build it / find it
- test it
- deploy it
- switch everything over from the old cal (first archive it plz)

- train the commons wg on how to use it

- maintain it

here, i even made a blueprint of what we need, about two years ago, after trying many things that did not work: https://github.com/sudoroom/omni-booking

(and yes, i've tried getting wizards of sudoroom to help, but it's a big undertaking)

conflicts will happen. if we had higher attendance at commons wg meetings and more people to help track the dozens of events that happen on the monthly in the commons, they would happen less often.

but, tbh, they don't happen often (thank you julio! <3)
