Oh no worries, maybe you’ll be back one day.   If you want to run some tests or anything you can get on rocket chat (https://peoplesopen.net/chat/) or text me (559)464-5727. Lets get you up and running!

We need help hosting services on the mesh, so any ideas, lets do it.

Cheers,

Null

Aah... Thanks Marc. Thank you for getting this done on time. I appreciate it.

Jared, I used to come to the mesh meetings, he knows me. I am coming to the meetings, but my heart is PON meshed. :) haha

AWESOME!  You can thank Marc Juul (Juul for short, hehe), he fixed this earlier today.

Thanks for keeping us on our toes, sometimes we need a little push to get things happen’in 😊. I think there should be beerware to bug finders, are you in the bay area? Where are you located? What’s your background?

Jared, good news! It was a breeze.

1. reset router.
2. uploaded bin.
3. waited about 5 mins or so.
Done! PON was up and working!

Note:
After about five minutes it seems that the router rebooted (i missed that part if it did or not), but for sure I know the laptop lost connectivity from PON, but after waiting for a few minutes and until now it has been up with no issues.

Many thanks to you and all the coders at PON for making this happen.

Super! I will try that when I get home tonight.
Thanks Jared.

Dan,

If you are familiar with ssh you can do the work around and run these two commands:

sed -i.bak 's/curl/curl -k/g' /opt/mesh/retrieve_ip

sh /opt/mesh/retrieve_ip

If not,

The fix should be pretty easy, I’m guessing a couple of days,  possibly tonight.  I’ll get back to you once it’s fixed.

Thanks,

Null

Ah okay, thank you Benny, and Jared.
Any idea when this would be resolved?

We should be able to use https://letsencrypt.org and generate a new one, then just replace the old one on the server.

Hey, Daniel. IIRC the SSL cert is expired for the URL that serves the node its mesh IP. We need to fix this...

Pardon, this is a better screenshot, it shows that the router is not getting an IP address.

I believe it is not a layer 1 issue, because the router is fine while using the Private network.

Hello anyone out there,  just flashed a router (My Net N600) using the auto-config latest version software, but the mesh SSIDs don't seems to connect, just the private one.

Is the auto-config working properly or should not use it?

Thanks,

Daniel

[Changed private SSID via browser, and root and admin passwords vis SSH.]
