Dear mesh folks

Here's a first iteration of the mesh video. It is still a bit clumsy, but I thought I'd show you this first stage and call for your participation!

Please do make comments and suggest images!

Here is what I feel needs to be done, let me know if you want to help in any of this or just give ideas and feedback!

- Make the background in the animation white -  I've been exploring keying and compositing but still searching. If anyone knows a fcp X expert I'd be happy!

- Replace the shaky images or stabilize them in after effects.

- Replace the images  of "underserved communities". And i'm unsatisfied with pretty much the choice of images starting from "though it's connected to the internet as we know it now, we're excited to build an internet of our own..." So feel free to suggest things!

- except for the human who loves climbing :) But there is a need to find a better resolution. The film is called Never weaken and is in the public domain. I wanted an image of Safety last! but it's copyrighted to the teeth.

- I would need to find the font that has been used for People'sOpen, so I can write things in the end. On the wiki it says Doris and Anaheim but it doesn't seem to be it, or is it?

- More and better images of tide pools being used.

- Better sound effects?

- Finally, there is text that I haven't edited in although it's awesome, because we need to shoot it, and have a different mesh person say each of the items that are listed. I can shoot it when I come back but feel free to do it if you're inspired! The camera is available.
here is the text:

"we're excited to build an Internet of our own where people can access local  applications, like a map of gardens, garage workshops and local  businesses, a calendar of nearby events, a media library of music and videos created by Oakland residents, and neighborhood bulletin boards, further connecting us to our city's resources and culture."

Cheers
Noémie
