Just a reminder that those of us who are interested are meeting at 5 pm at sudo room today and heading down to lake merritt to see how far we can make a connection across the lake.
We're using two satellite dishes mounted on small platforms, each equipped with an aiming device and a wifi usb adapter. The wifi usb adapters are 802.11b/g/n compatible and claim to be 1 watt:
So far they seem to at least be better than my laptops built in Intel wifi card.
