Many of you are familiar with patchwork, Dominic Tarr's distributed messaging app. We have been talking about different apps that could run directly over the mesh, and I believe patchwork can do so as it is now--if you are on the same local network as another user, you can talk to them even if you are not connected to an external ISP, and you can see who is on the same network as you are. 

I have asked a few people, and can't get a certain answer to the question of, can messages be passed with patchwork over the whole mesh, or only those connected to a particular node? Patchwork uses encrypted message passing over TCP/IP, so I think it should work that way...can anyone on here confirm/deny/elaborate?
