Hi Sudoers:

I have three Master 175-style resettable combination padlocks that I’d like to reuse but I don’t know the combinations so I’d like to decode at least one of them so that I can reset the combination.

Apparently Master 175-style resettable combination padlocks are relatively easy to decode, and I tried the technique in this video (using a thin sliver of aluminum) but I don’t have enough experience to have the right touch. Or maybe if I had the right tools it would work.

(I also found this video of a dismantled Master 175 helpful: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XmLrw4QjXzg

Any locksports out there willing to give this a try? Or aspiring locksports? I’ll bring them tonight to Sudoroom. Or contact me off-list.

Many thanks in advance, -Peter
