The Omni Commoner
Issue 2, May 2016

omnicommons.org

The Omni Commons currently hosts a dozen collectives committed to the mission of equity and community. We’re actively recruiting new members for existing groups as well as entirely new organizations to collaborate with us.  Please visit omnicommons.org/wiki to learn more, or contact info@omnicommons.org with inquiries on how to participate!

Big changes are continuing on the exterior of the building. The Italian Cypress trees along Shattuck Ave have been pruned to overhead height allowing better egress and visibility.

High definition night vision security cameras have been installed on the Shattuck-facing and main entrances.  New street lights have been installed along the building on Shattuck by the Temescal Business Improvement District.

We recently passed our 2016 fire inspection for the ballroom! In addition, we designed and built our evacuation maps for the building in-house, and daresay the Omni Commons may now host the largest evacuation maps in the East Bay!
