The one you linked to can only handle 150°C max - I doubt most thermoelectric coolers have a lower Tmax than that (the first one I randomly looked up listed Max Operating Temp: 180°C).

I think that most of the TEC's sold are actually designed as CPU coolers, so they should be able to handle temperatures well above the boiling point of water.

Bear in mind, I am look for the TEG (thermoelectric generator) kind, not TEC kind often recovered for thermoelectric cooling.

I just need to borrow it.
