Getting the landlord's requests in writing (even w/ an email) makes it easier to disseminate the information.

It's one thing to say "George said 'don't leave the door open'" and another to just forward an email saying "on this and such date, George requested that we not leave the door open"

It's also better for him, because then he can say "I've requested this thing X number of times".

The paper trail is good for everyone, except those who thrive on chaos.

That sounds really antagonistic to the landlord.  What is the advantage of requiring his demands in writing, versus trying to maintain a friendly relationship with him?

I'm pretty sure "Don't leave the door propped open" is well within his rights, and challenging that request is going to make quick enemies with a man we depend on.

Hi All,

I am going to propose the following at the meeting tonight:

"The official policy of Sudo Room is to only act on requests by the Land Lord that are given to Sudo Room in writing by the Land Lord or one of the Land Lords agreed upon representatives, except in cases of emergency (ie. preventing injury), or compliance with already written city codes."

I will also propose that this be voted on tonight given the time sensitivity and the severity of the issues we've had with the Land Lord.

I will also propose that pros and cons be listened to for a limited time before voting as opposed to just taking general stack.

Thanks,
Andrew
