I'm planning on remediating a liability and building code issue with the ballroom bench bench running into the middle of a small staircase leading from the ballroom floor to the 'maintenance closet' in the SW corner of the ballroom, by cutting down the length of this bench of the West side such that the stairs are properly exposed. 

All the bolts have been removed, but it is still affixed with either glue or deeply embedded nails on the SW corner side, won't budge, and I need to cut the very end off to remove it, but my Fein saw is gone and my skillsaw is at home.. so it's still in place. 

For the time being please do not sit on this bench and definitely leave the 'do not sit' signs up.
