PyFileMaker is a thing if it needs to stay in FileMaker.

You can also export most data from FileMaker as a spreadsheet.

Looks like it runs on Windows & MacO$. It sort of runs in Wine:

Greg, I'm forwarding this to the sudoroom list, maybe there are folks
there who know FileMaker and would be willing to pitch in.

I don't do Windohs, but if you can't find anyone else to do this maybe I
could take a throw at helping a little if I can get the trial version of
"share"ware version to run under Wine in Linux.

Notify me if you can't find anybody actually competent.

Subject:        Urgent! Do you know how to use FileMaker? Or know someone who
might know how to use it?! (Re: Sending out Questionnaires)

All,

It's now going to be very difficult for the person who has sent out most
of our Voter Guide questionnaires for previous elections, for many years
now, to again do so this year.  So we now _urgently need to find one (or
more) other people to help out with this_!  It's currently set up in
FileMaker, so it would be best to find someone who knows how to use that
program, if possible.  (Or -- you can use another program, or even do it
"manually", if you'd like to).

The deadline for questionnaires to be written and submitted to be sent
out is Monday, August 3rd, and the candidate filing deadline is Friday,
August 7th.  We should therefore be able to obtain the candidates'
official contact info on approximately Tuesday. August 11th, so
questionnaires can be sent out just as soon as we've loaded that data
into the program.  (And we might even load in some "unofficial" contact
info prior to receiving the official contact info).

We ask the candidates to RSVP that they've received the questionnaire,
but usually only about half of them do that, so you'll then send out the
questionnaire again to the remaining candidates, and then after that
you'll send a phone-calling list to our volunteer to telephone the ones
who still haven't RSVP'd.  And finally, at the "end of the process",
when the deadline to return the questionnaire passes (about 10 days
after they're sent out), for those who haven't yet returned it, you'll
email them a notice to please return it right away, and then after that,
another phone list for our volunteer to telephone them to please return
their questionnaire.

So -- _please reply back right away if you can help out with this_!  /Or
if you know someone who might be able to help (and who is
"trustworthy"), please do ask them! / (Or of course, if you have any
questions, please do ask!).

Thanks so much!,
Greg
