Sounds great. Zero regrets about the Home Depot version we bought though, since it's still significantly better than the old 8ft fluorescents, and it got us to turn the lights back on within about an hour without any rewiring.

Note that Home Depot does have 8ft LED replacement bulbs

They're $45 - still a bit too expensive, but they should pay for themselves
within a year or two.

We have one in CCL, I think above the fermentation station. We're planning
to buy more of those as the fluorescents wear out, at least until such time
as we decide to swap out the light fixtures altogether...

this was done using the freestanding ladder near the upstairs fridge.

If we've exhausted the fluorescent consumables and there are still
fixtures elsewhere in the Omni that can use these lights, I'd love to start
working on LED conversion next tuesday.  We have a freestanding ladder that
can reach all those fixtures, right?

are there any more working 8-foot-long fluorescent lightbulbs in omni?
one of
the ones in the northeast corner of sudoroom has stopped working (the
west one)
and the whole fixture is dark now.

of course we should migrate to another type of light in the future, but
i think
we should use up all the fluorescent lights before we do that.
