the facedancer lets you pretend to be the piece of hardware.  so you can plug the real hardware into your computer, and then pass along everything it says and does through the facedancer to the app, and that lets you be the man in the middle of the USB conversation.

Hm. I don't think that will work. I have a piece of software talking to a piece of hardware and I need to monitor and reverse-engineer the protocol. I don't think the facedancer can do that?
