Yea we should measure SUDO's upstream bandwidth..for running server VMs off of desktops (or laptops would best), maybe we could cobble together an ad-hoc cluster.. and somehow keep it safely force-fielded within the chiral chaos of hack that is our main SUDO space?

I don't think we'd want actual rackable servers form-factor-wise though (1U etc) due to room temp/noise issues :)

I would be into having a sudo server rack if we could host things

Hi, I could recommend https://iocoop.org (though I wouldn't say it directly aligns w/ Riseup.net, it's a bit more generic in its mission)

Disclaimer, I'm on the board, but we're a volunteer-run cooperative so... :)

Recommendations for a reputable host / colo for the forthcoming Bay Area Public School site reboot?

Ideally a host with ethics that align with a place like Riseup, but is on the west coast, preferably the Bay Area.. unless that is some kind of crazy dream?

Do we / sudo have the upstream bandwidth to host simple sites (basic WP) from 2141? I can set it all up.. Where does SUDO host our main site, wiki etc?

Sorry if these are noob-y questions - any guidance appreciated - thx!

David
