Adam: I have no idea :/ I'd be searching the web for tips.. sent a query to DK but it's late in the day..

Roberto: All spaces are fair game, but they're generally going to be looking at potential systems/infrastructure problems and egress pathways. Probably not an issue for the CSC/GWS office, but any help is.. helpful, if you have some time :)

Are offices being inspected as well? The CSC office may need to be cleaned up a bit, so I may stop by later tonight.

Thanks,

The LED light I hung in the front room with the long cable -- is this something we need to take down or is it OK?

Some more relevant tasks, after reviewing Sarah's excellent photos & notes from walkthrough yesterday!

  • 3 foot clearance to ceiling for any storage (i think it's 3'? can someone corrobotate?) - possible culprits include media lab south wall, pink classroom (including it's closet - the one off the kids room), secure storage room,
  • all breakers in electrical panels should be labelled (including empties)
  • reflective tape on stairs to disco room (should be in secure storage)
  • faceplates for any naked light switches (secure storage, one in disco room on a wooden beam, possibly others)

Mostly contributed to this pile last night.. :) Lovely to catch up with folks and gratitude to yar especially, and others working hard this week!

Marc and I will be coming through in a bit for another round, though I'll try not to stay late so I can make it over before 9 tomorrow for the inspection itself..

All hands welcome! Omni do-or-die moment, take 10!

Critical tasks, off the cuff:
  • Clean:
    • windows
    • exterior
    • bathrooms
    • floors
  • Clear:
    • full egress (>36") all pathways
    • declutter
    • trash/dump runs
  • Systems:
    • electrical
      • unplug/wrap extension cords
      • check clearance of panels
      • replace broken bulbs/ballasts
    • HVAC
    • plumbing
  • Safety:
    • check fire extinguishers
    • install smoke alarms
    • ensure emergency lighting working
    • all rooms accessible with key on keyring (this was done by yar yesterday)
    • emergency plan (other than our giant emergency exit signs, there's also an evacuation plan that Laura created that used to live on the counter in entrance hall next to the stairs to the ballroom. anyone seen it?)
