I thought the Omni was still officially closed, especially to non-members.

I am a sudoroom room member and have maintained the public computers and kept the software & hardware going, but because of the plandemic & my age & precarious health I've been too shit-scared to go in the Omni for over a year. However I got my second poke Thursday and should be able to return by the end of the month. I'll do my best to clean things up and make sure all the boxen are in good shape. I also built a 6/12 core Ryzen 5 1600AF machine with 32GB of RAM that I planned to give to Liberated Lens, but if they don't want it and/or the rest of sudoroom thinks it might have a home elsewhere I can drop it off, as well, or perhaps something comparable.

My beloved 16 year-old Catahoula hound Einstein has stopped eating chicken and tuna and will only nibble dried minnows & liver treats, so I suspect I will be canid-free shortly; one of the reasons I didn't spend enough time in the Omni was that my pup always hated the place, so I'll probably come by at least once a week while I am town starting May Day and will endeavor to make sure things are slightly more hygienic.

It's not part of sudoroom, but it's a problem. 2-3 men have claimed
that corner and dug themselves in. I think the best solution to that
problem is to add more people. Have regular structured events in which
new people can be encouraged to use the things. It feels harsh to say
"take a break and go somewhere else" when the immediate result would
be just an empty room. It's easier to say that when you have a group
of people who also want to use the computers.

You can use a PGP key to encrypt and secure our messages. To start using it, you'll need to install an OpenPGP software on your computer. Below you'll find a list of possible solutions for your operating system:

Windoze: Kleopatra (http://gpg4win.de/download.html)
OSX: GPG Keychain (https://gpgtools.org/#gpgsuite)
Linux: GnuPG (https://www.gnupg.org/related_software/frontends.html)
Android: OpenKeychain (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.sufficientlysecure.keychain)
i(diot)OS: iPGMail (https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/ipgmail/id430780873?mt=8)

Once you set up PGP on your computer please import my public key into your local OpenPGP Key-Manager. The valid PGP keys for my biow@cubasoldarity.net & biow@riseup.net accounts can be downloaded
here: http://ebiow.yasashi.net/pgp/

An "easy" way to set up PGP on your computer is to download the free & open sources Thunderbird email client (available on Linux, Windohs & O$X) & install the EnigMail Add-On.

Is god willing to prevent evil but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him god? - Epicurus (341-270 BCE)
