Hey, all!
As many of you know, at my Saturday hackathons at Noisebridge I've been working with @clairep and others on Pursuance -- *open source, self-hostable, end-to-end encrypted task management software* to amplify the efforts of activists, journalists, and nonprofits.
Pursuance was started by formerly-imprisoned journalist and activist Barrett Brown, who went to jail for his crowdsourced journalism investigations into Palantir and others (see
https://www.thenation.com/article/strange-case-barrett-brown/ ) based on his going through of hacked emails that had been dumped onto the internet, and we're building Pursuance so people can more effectively and securely coordinate these kinds of actions online as part of *a global federation of activist groups opposing injustice*.
And as my 5MoF talk a couple weeks ago mentioned, we just started a Kickstarter to fund the completion of the first major version that we're building (I'm the architect and lead dev)! We just reached our initial goal of $48k(!), and there's some awesome stretch goals I'd love to get to as well.
Anything you can do to spread the word would be appreciated. Thank you much!
