If anyone knows of community leaders/activists in Oakland who would be interested in low-cost computers and high-speed internet, help spread the word.

EveryoneOn is awesome, especially since RecordTrac co-creator Sheila is there now :)

I had the pleasure of meeting and working with many of you during my Code for America fellowship. I wanted to give you an update on what I’m doing now.

I work for EveryoneOn, a nonprofit organization working to close the digital divide. Through partnerships with leading Internet service providers and hardware providers, we make low-cost computers and high-speed Internet services for as low as $10 a month available to all unconnected U.S. residents.

On April 23, 2014, EveryoneOn is hosting a workshop in City Hall. The workshop will teach community leaders about the available low-cost Internet options and how they can get their constituents online.

You can view more event details below:

Getting EveryoneOn: Creating an Inclusive Digital Society

Date: Wednesday, April 23, 2014
Time: 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Location: City Hall, 1 Frank Ogawa Plaza, Hearing Room #4

You can register for the event or learn more by clicking here.

Feel free to forward this email to your friends and colleagues if you believe they would be interested in attending the workshop.

Thank you in advance for your help!

Best wishes,
