Looks like yeah at least theĀ form URL is hard coded. If I edit the URL in my browser to the same domain the login request gets processed.

I'll follow up off-thread for more info.

Meanwhile, substack made a valiant effort to get sudo-humans working
with node 17.x. We got partway, at least the front page displays now,
but it still crashes when you try to do anything.
