Hey Sudo Room,

Noisebridge is holding a Class-a-Thon between August 9th and August 15th.  All we need are awesome and talented folks like yourselves to teach a few classes!

You can do a one-off class you've been meaning to try for a while, or a tried-and-true stand-by you've been teaching forever, or even a discussion group or workshop.

This is the week leading up to our Reboot Party, so it's sure to come with lots of excitement and fresh energy.

See below emails for details!

Cheers,
Naomi

Simpler version:

If you can teach a class on ANYTHING, and you can do it between August 9th to 15th, please contact Jeffrey:

jeffreyatw@gmail.com

We'd love to have a huge variety of classes for this week-long event.

Suggestions / Examples:

* programming
* lockpicking
* CPR
* circuit bending
* cross-stitch / needlepoint
* wearable electronics
* kombucha making
* radio broadcasting
* streaming audio/video
* ...?
* PROFIT

Contact Jeffrey, let him know your availability, and he'll get you on the schedule.

Doing this class-blitz will go a long way towards introducing many different people the way we've upgraded the space, and of course encourage a few donations along the way.  :)

Cheers,
Naomi

Come teach at Noisebridge! Help make Noisebridge a place where people will want to come and learn about all things related to hacking.

For the week of August 9 to 15, we're looking for people to teach as many one-off classes as possible, in addition to the regularly scheduled recurring classes. Filling Noisebridge up with classes for a week will send the message that it's a place where everyone is free to come and teach what they know, and learn as much as they can. It should also help with the fundraising effort toward the Reboot:

Have a specific skill that you're good at or known for? Think others would benefit from it? Take an hour or two of your time to teach others.

Run a woodshop class in the shop. Teach how to sew with the sewing machines. Run a photography class and use the darkroom. Here's a full list of Noisebridge's resources: https://noisebridge.net/wiki/Resources - use them to their full potential!

We're especially looking for all-ages or kid-friendly classes to be taught on the weekend.

I'm in charge of finding people to teach classes and help schedule them. Contact me, or noisebridge-discuss@lists.noisebridge.net, with any questions related to the Class-A-Thon.

To teach a class, all you have to do is put it on the Upcoming or Recurring Events list and email noisebridge-announce@lists.noisebridge.net.
