Celebrating Love
Niki Shelley & David KeenanThe Omni Commons would not be were it not for the brilliance and vision of Niki Shelley and David Keenan, two founding members whose love and dedication have inspired us all. We celebrated their love on June 4th with a ballroom party at the Omni, freshly shined and polished, with music and dancing amongst a family of beautiful souls gorging upon an epic feast that will live on in the legends we co-create over the years to come.
Rise in Power, Matt DodtLongtime, tireless community activist "Midnight" Matt Dodt, a stalwart volunteer with Food Not Bombs and many other actions and causes for justice and equity, died unexpectedly on May 27th, 2016 of heart failure while working on a construction job in San Francisco. He was 59 years old. He leaves one living brother in Texas and a large and loving community of friends and supporters in the San Francisco Bay Area.
