The main difference is that instead of having to worry about disturbing our upstairs neighbors, now we'll only need to worry about disturbing the nextdoor neighbors.

As a simple rule of thumb, how about something like this:

No power tools louder than a shopvac, and no music louder than a piano?

Hello everyone,

As some of you may already know, the Omni will be no longer required, by
conditions of its tenancy, to maintain quiet hours after 10 PM each
night, starting Oct 1.  Apparently, however, there is still an Omni
policy that dictates quiet hours at such times, independent of the rules
of our tenancy.

I propose, starting Oct 1, that we remove the quiet hours restriction at
10 PM, so that we can encourage people to use the space productively and
discourage overnight sleeping.  In order to make sure that the noise is
not excessive to our neighbors, noise-makers should be asked to make
sure that there are negligible outside noise levels, especially if they
are running non-acoustic or other loud instruments.

In general, however, noise will follow pretty much the same policies it
follows during the day.  People can always request times for quieter or
louder activity in advance, and should generally strive to respect one
another in the use of common space and its harmonic vibrations.
