Dear Vicky,
The Knight News Challenge on Libraries is now open for applications, asking people and organizations to submit ideas that address the question: How might libraries serve 21st century information needs?
We're offering more than $3 million for innovative ideas. The challenge is open to anyone— from public libraries to universities to businesses, nonprofits, and any individual who wants to collaborate, partner and ally with libraries. Even if you’ve never innovated in the library space before and have an idea, we want to hear it.
If you have questions about the application, you can join us for virtual office hours to learn more about the News Challenge. I will also be hosting an Ask Me Anything reddit chat on Monday, Feb. 29, from 7 – 9 p.m. ET. Details on the chat and information on virtual office hours can be found here.
To enter and for more information, go to newschallenge.org and answer a few questions by March 24. For more information take a look at this press release and blog post. Follow #newschallenge on Twitter for updates and please spread the word through your networks.
