I stopped by SudoRoom and counter culture labs the other week

will probably be back next week

really enjoyed the mix of smart people and scientists at the art + biology evening

i was chatting with a noisebridge guy and we'd love to see more cool "academic type talks that are not easily possible in academia" at SudoRoom or Noisebridge.

Despite time constraints will try to make this happen!
is everyone feeling good? nice to see y'all

Neither Anything Hid

Nicole Archer, PhD, is an assistant professor in the history and theory of contemporary art at SFAI, where she also serves as the chair of the BA Department + Liberal Arts. Archer researches contemporary art and material culture, with an emphasis on modern textiles and garment histories. Further interests include critical and psychoanalytic theory, corporeal feminism, and performance studies. She is currently writing a manuscript, A Looming Possibility: Towards a Theory of the Textile, which considers how textiles are used to produce and maintain the limits of “legitimate” versus “illegitimate” forms of state violence. Her work has appeared in Women & Performance: A Journal of Feminist Theory and Textile: The Journal of Cloth and Culture. She is a regular contributor to SFAQ/NYAQ/AQ, where she writes and edits a regular column, “Style Wars: Critical Reflections on the Power of Style.”
