Hey all,

Aspiration Tech is an excellent group of folks. Please consider joining for this excellent event. There is a cost, based roughly on the order of your non-profit's budget, or an "offer a price" option as a sliding scale component. As detailed in the message below, they're also looking for places for attendees to crash in Oakland! I am planning to do so, I hope others can as well.

#NPDev

Hi Everyone,

The 2013 Nonprofit Software Development Summit, our yearly gathering for the Aspiration family from around the world, is set for November 18-20 at Preservation Park in Oakland, California.

The Dev Summit is an event for zebras of all stripes who have a stake in what happens to technology for nonprofits. From newbie users to seasoned developers and everyone in between, come join the party!

As you prepare for our 10th annual conference, we invite you to play a bigger role in bringing together this growing circle. Take a look below at the different paths we would love to meet you on to help make this event possible.

Reserve Your Spot in the Circle

Have you saved your spot yet? Sign up here.

We are expecting over 100 nonprofit and technology organizations in the room. Register now to make sure you are on the list.

Email devsummit13@aspirationtech.org to inquire about sliding scale registration options.

Suggest a Session for #NPDev

We are building the Dev Summit agenda right now based on input from participants. And we really want your knowledge and experience in the session mix.

Do you want to facilitate a breakout session at Dev Summit this year? Put on your agenda planner hat early.

Tell us what nonprofit tech topics you are passionate and excited to share about.

For more info, check out these resources from
last year's Dev Summit:

Host an Out-of-Towner

Would you welcome far traveling participants to crash at your Bay Area pad? Be the host with the most this November 18-20.

Email us directly to offer a room, couch, or comfy floor space for fellow attendees.

Also, you can contact us if you are looking for a place to crash so we can try to find someone to host you.

Hype #NPDev to your Peers

Do you know nonprofit staff struggling to make technology decisions? Are your friends passionate about how tech works or doesn't work in community?

If your calendar is full *cough* cancel your plans *cough*, and you are unable to attend, no worries! You can get a report back on all the happenings at the conference by simply sending your friends and peers to go in your place.

Share the registration link with your closest people or tell us who we should be inviting.

Donate Your Expiring Miles

The most critical part of the Dev Summit is getting the right people there. From the on-the-ground organizer to the developer creating tools, the summit strives to serve the entire spectrum of folks invested in technology for social justice.

We are working hard to get everyone there who wants to be there. We could use your help to make sure all voices are represented. Do you have unused or expiring airline miles you would be willing to give?

Pass on your extra airline miles to make the Dev Summit a richer, more inclusive experience.

No miles? Donate directly to the travel fund to support statewide and global participation.

We guarantee you many years of gratitude and happy hour drinks of your choice in return ;)!

Hope to See You in November!

The Dev Summit is not just for geeks - whether you have a special place in your heart for coding or required assistance to open this email, we want YOU there!

In true spirit of the event, we recognize that some of the above ways to contribute might not satisfy you. We invite you to hack the process, get creative, and suggest other ways to get involved.

We love hearing from you so please reach out if you have any questions.

best,
Misty
