Looks like I'll need to pick up the U-Haul truck at 9:30 tomorrow. So if someone needs a ride, please meet me there rather than at the Omni.
9:30 am at 640 W MacArthur Blvd. Probably can't take more than one or maybe two passengers in the cab of the truck.
Thanks!

Alternatively, a few of us could meet 9:30am at the Omni to pick up passengers. We'll need at least 5 people to help move this thing, since it's probably 600lb or more. So if you can help out, that would be greatly appreciated! The cabinet is on wheels, so the main issue will be getting it in and out of the relatively low U-Haul truck bed. Once we get it back off again, we should be able to just roll it into CCL.Let me know if you'll be able to help, so we can get a head count. We do need to pick the thing up this week, otherwise the people at the Bio-Link Depot are likely to let it go to one of the many other groups that have their eye on it...Thanks!PatrikOn Tue, Mar 24, 2015 at 3:31 PM, Patrik D'haeseleer <patrikd@gmail.com> wrote:PatrikThanks!Catch is... we need to go get it! And soon, because there are other groups interested as well. The Bio-Link Depot is just North of the SF airport, only half an hour away if you can avoid traffic. We've been advised to pick up during daylight, so as to avoid interactions with the security around the airport.Hi all,Bio-Link Depot is currently holding a FREE Biosafety Cabinet for us, that would be perfect to start up CCL's BSL-2 lab room. That means we'd be able to work with human cell lines and samples, and to isolate microorganisms with interesting properties (such as bioluminescent bacteria from squid skin, or oil degrading bacteria from soil).LET ME KNOW IF YOU CAN HELP OUT, and when during daytime works for you.The current plan is to rent a UHaul truck with a loading ramp, and winch it up (the cabinet is on heavy casters). But if someone has a truck with a lift gate, that would be even better. Marc - the truck we used last time, was that Rikke's?
