I just joined the mailing list not too long ago. I was going to stop by over the weekend to checkout the space and meet whoever is lurking around. I just wanted to see if there was any trick to getting in.
Noisebridge has that quirky phone that never seems to work.
Also, I'm a tech/linux enthusiast/developer/foss hippy that moved to the bay area a few years ago. Would love to get more involved especially as I'm debating moving to Oakland at some point in the foreseeable future.
