East Bay Mini Maker Faire 2014 Kick-Off at The Crucible
The 5th annual East Bay Mini Maker Faire is gearing up for Sunday, October 19th, and to celebrate we're having a Kick-off Meetup and Town Hall at the East Bay's industrial arts learning and making nexus, The Crucible.
- THIS COMING TUESDAY, July 29th, 2014
- Tour of The Crucible starts @6:30; Town Hall begins @7
- The Crucible, 1260 7th Street, Oakland, CA 94607
We'll be talking about "Maker City" initiatives in the East Bay, sharing food and beer (thank you Linden Street!), working up ideas for our fab fifth Faire, and meeting each other.
Remember: arrive pronto @6:30 to get a tour of The Crucible's incredible facilities. If you've never really checked the Crucible out, you will be ASTONISHED at this incredible East Bay treasure.
Come on out and help spread the word about this year's Call for Makers (open now!).
Let us know you are coming!
Please RSVP one of two ways:
Facebook (and please share it with your maker community!) OR Eventbrite.
Regarding getting to The Crucible: note it's best to park in one of the nearby pay lots or the BART lot. Or park on 7th (not Union or nearby housing complex lots). Better yet, take BART or bike!
If you have questions or ideas, please get in touch at info@ebmakerfaire.com.
Hope to see you there!
