I'm sorry to disagree with Pete here, but I don't think it's advisable to go to the police. Very rarely will any justice or community safety be served by involving the police (one could argue that it is never the case). However, Pete is right, that the Omni is not equipped to handle issues like this at this time.

I'm adding Max from the North Oakland Restorative Justice Council (NORJC) in case the council can help us with some ideas for resolution, as there is real physical violence at stake here, and that is what they focus on. Alternatively, we may be able to engage SEEDS mediation if there are funds for this type of activity, as I believe there should be.

I'm unavailable for a few weeks, but can help when my time frees up around mid July. I urge we don't involve the police though.

Commenting from the sidelines here -- I don't know anybody involved, but taking it pretty much at face value from this thread, this sounds like it's escalating way past what anybody at Sudo/Omni is properly equipped to handle. This sucks! You shouldn't have to put up with it! I know that a decision to go to the police is a very personal one and not something to be taken lightly, but I'd urge you to consider it.

I saw this happen, it was pretty shitty. She was yelling shit from out
on the street. Doesn't give me hope for a resolution.
