well making our own diaspora instance requires back end know-how... i don't have that. anyone willing to do it?

is it very easy to change pods ?

my biggest problem has been getting acquaintances and friends to join diaspora. I don't think it's that hard. they just don't want to for some reason.

I never heard that it started to Noisebridge, though it looks like there were some mailing list messages calling for a hack session, since it's an open source project. As I understand it was started by a handful of college kids looking to try out an idea over a summer. They asked for $10,000 in funding on Kickstarter and got $200,000. The rest is history.

Is anyone else on the social network Diaspora?

As we recall, this was developed at Noisebridge and was indirectly involved in another unfortunate suicide =(

I'd like to get going on this social network again. If you are interested in connection, please get in touch.
