Hi all, 

I'd rather not get into the details of why at this hour, but John has stopped providing us with free internet service.. Pursuant to a discussion he came downstairs to have with me tonight when I randomly stopped by just to check on the building at like 11:30pm.

The RJ45 plug at the end of the Cat5 cable leading upstairs to John's internet router has been clipped - please do not attempt to reattach it. 

I'm afraid we must wait on the Comcast Maryanna ordered to get service. Maryanna, what is the eta there?

Comcast is evil, yes, but we can cancel anytime while we settle on our provider of choice. (Sonic.net's 2-week delay in even getting a tech onsite to provision DSL sort of makes that ISP like not the best choice and the reason really we are in this pickle.) 

Everyone, I realize this sucks obviously but I would respectfully ask that we not give John a hard time about this. He is not obligated to give us free internet.. It's really not his problem, and he is worried about the security of his home network.

I know Jeremy (sudo) talked to him about him sharing his 'guest' wifi network instead. Knowing John, I will simply say my advice is against pursuing this option.. let it go, and lets just get our own stuff asap -
