CL has been dropping some gems lately...here's another one-

The Stumpjumper is the bike that started it all. Well, it was the first MTB
(1981) to be mass-produced and widely marketed and (IMO) no one's topped it
yet. I've seen mint condition early SJs go for $2000+ on eBay...200 is
pretty damn good for a Stumpjumper in rough shape, but this one looks like
it's been stored since the first Reagan administration.

We seem to be accumulating bikes at an exponential rate...so if your bike
is here and it is NOT in the process of being hacked on/repaired and you
don't plan to donate it, please come by and get it at your earliest
convenience. We don't really have the room in sudo proper to store bikes- a
day or two is fine, indefinitely....not so much. Or come by and let us know
what's going on with it, or email the list...be advised that we may eat
your bike if it sits here for too much longer. Nothing personal, but if
it's not being hacked and doesn't have a DNH on it someone eventually will.

Specialized Allez Pro road bike for $140 in Berkeley (another great deal)

...in case no one's noticed, I'm partial to old steel Specialized bikes.
I've owned several over the years, and am currently working on yet another
one (albeit slowly), At last count I've owned and enjoyed three Allez from
various years and can vouch for the ride and quality...this one appears to
be a mid 80s build, when Specialized was arguably at the top of their game.
