[[User: Unixjazz]] went to a chocolate factory in the city and rescued an HP server in excellent shape.
He fixed the controller, wiped the disks, updated firmwares, and installed the necessary software for self-hosting experiments at Sudoroom.
Below you will find information about the specs and what is currently running.

Here are some of the services running now. The host is always available for everyone to play with. Get your credentials with [[User:Jake]], LF, Ivan and others at the space (in person). No services will be made available to the outside world (public inet). Wireguard access can be provided, though, if you are not physically at the space.

Raspberry Pi 3 Model B with Power-Over-Ethernet hat, plugged in via ethernet cable directly to our router, which supplies 48v.

Then a meshcore device and a meshtastic device are plugged into the Pi using USB cables.

* Wed 3/18/26: firmware update (to 1.14 from 3/6/26) by [[User:Judytuna]]. Climbed up the ladder with computer, existing cable kept failing the flash between 2% and 80% done (failed to receive serial communication), plugged in new cable, worked. Note: to put it into flash mode, use a small screwdriver to hold down the top button, unplug to turn it off (it has no battery?), and plug in to turn it on, then release the top button.
