* message from sudoroom to spaz: we love spaz parties but we cannot keep sponsoring those events unless you figure out how to keep control over your parties, in particular respecting the noise concerns and not disturbing the neighbors, avoiding alcohol without license & insurance (this includes BYOB), cleaning up for other events the next day, doing outside sound checks with a proper sound meter througout the evening and keeping a log of them that is then shared with sudo room, limiting attendance by counting in and out guests, and in general respecting and protecting the building from risk. There can never be amplified music anywhere other than the basement after 11 pm on friday/saturday.

Sudoroom's official meetings are every 2nd Wednesday of the month at 7pm, or sometimes as late as 7:30. They are bureaucratic, sometimes fun, and usually more functional than rumored. We try to handle conflicts respectfully.

== Etherpad ==

We keep our agenda on an etherpad. The etherpad is projected on a big screen for everyone to see. Anyone who knows the URL can collaboratively edit it on their laptop. After the meeting, its contents are copied to our wiki - that's how we keep record. Then we clear it for the next meeting and people can add items throughout the week. Ideally someone posts a summary to the mailing list, but that doesn't always happen.

Came to Omni meetings to have GCEA be "active". I felt Robb was hateful towards GCEA, every time we try to do something, felt disruptive. I want to change the white supremist attitude, have a good relationship between Omni & GCEA. That's why I'm here. I've had a good experience with Jenny. If you say shit, I'll let you know, as nicely as I can. But won't tolerate racism. People complain about Almaz, but she serves people, she volunteers. You've shared food with us. You've breathed the African air. It tears me apart. I don't care about your issues with Almaz, I care about the work we do. Right now if she goes people will not be served. The work on the ground that GCEA does. People have written grants.

I want to see the phrasing clarified to say that any deferral has a 3 month limit. I also have a big problem with the fact that there is undefined compensation involved in this but other more critical aspects of running omni day to day are uncompensated. I do not consent to anything about compensation. So I guess I'm blocking the second part of #2

juul: Oh I see now that "reaching out to parties in prior conflicts within and outside of the Omni" is part of the proposal. I'd missed that. I block #3. I'm willing to go along with this if it's relating to currently active members of Omni or its collectives only. Anyone who has not been part of Omni recently have already taken enough of our time and energy previously and there is enough to get through with the issues currently at hand. If we allow this to include people not currently part of Omni then this could easily become a parade of prior assholes (of which Omni has many) selected for their skin color in order to prop up an agenda.

iptables handles port forwarding and masquerading (NAT). The configuration file is:

nginx is only reverse-proxying to the labitrack software. The labitrack software is started by:

Labitrack is located in:

/opt/labitrack

Labitrack runs on port 8080 and saves its data in a postgresql database. Labitrack has two parts to it: The web app itself and printloop.sh which automatically prints newly created labels on the label printer. Both the web app and printloop.sh are run by the node.js program "forever" which monitors the programs and restarts them automatically if they crash.

The bay area is in the throes of a housing crisis. Despite the abundance of resources (space, buildings, etc), the distribution of those resources is unfair. For many it can be costly and difficult to fulfill the basic human need of shelter. However, sudo room, as a creative community and hacker space, must maintain a division between habitation and usage of the space. As such the following are resolved:
* sudo room is not intended to be used for habitation or domestic purposes.
* No-one is allowed to sleep in sudo room at any time.
* Any member can require that anyone sleeping in sudo room must leave immediately.
* Repeated sleeping at sudo room is grounds for being temporarily or permanently denied access to sudo room's assets, including its physical space.
