We are using our Type A Machine 3D printer to print a RepRap.

Steps To Do

Understand the many choices - different models, designs, iterations.

  1. Print plastic parts
    • Download STLs or compile from SCAD?
    • Figure out the right slic3r settings
    • Is our Type A's bed flat enough for the larger pieces?
  2. Laser cut frame
    • Noisebridge? AMT?
  3. Find cheap sources of:
    • NEMA 17 Stepper motors (Adafruit)
    • Extruder head / nozzles
    • rods, belts, etc
