Sorry missed a bit

Yes I pulled together that list. You could get a better quality
antenna if you're willing to research/spend a bit more.

I used the existing holes and cable glands.

Are those connectors the right size for that, without looking in
detail at the components I'm guessing it would want the small
connectors for the solar panel cable but its unclear if the 4-8 or
9-12 connector would be best for the antenna proposed - I think the
smaller (the antenna says 8mm)

Yes the smaller cable glands are what I used.

There are certainly other ways of doing it, the motivation for that
list was a zero-solder kit as many don't have a soldering iron.

If you are using that list then ask the MPPT guy (I forget his name)
to solder on the screw connectors for you.

The MPPT/ LiPO4 is not the cheapest route but is the least likely to
catch fire IMHO.

AFAIK DR is less power efficient than Meshtastic but does scale
better. Meshtastic is limited to three hops I think, and a max of 30
users. I believe LoraLayer2/ DR can do better than that, but I'm not
sure if anyone has actually tested a network that large.

Thanks

Sam
