St.  just now said he would do it -- but added the important caveat:
he has to be able to get in.  He says the last times he's tried his
card of late, it did not work, and asks if the reader was now
functioning.

for my part, unfortunately i in fact can *not* do it.

& may i add that if someone has to drive to do the door unlock thing,
perhaps that person can also swing by and give Mr. St. a ride?  that
would be great, though not strictly necessary.....
