[sudo-discuss] keeping a table clean at sudoroom

But yea, that's why I'm especially careful not to leave anything of mine on
Tuesday nights, the
hardware hackin' tends to involve a lot of shuffling and rearrangements,
and new donations
brought in - like the boxes on the second table which caused all of its
contents to be pushed onto
the table in question. Other than the battery, I don't recall seeing
anything parked there when I was
clearing out that looked potentially important - and I know I didn't lose
anything because I had all of
my things with me downstairs. Regarding the note, I guess the humor of
having parodied the exact
tone and phrasing of the original note with the reply must have been lost
on you since the first was then
specifically described as 'polite' and the second as 'rude' ;-) Ah well.
And yes, it was on 'the same
piece of paper' -- that piece of paper was an envelope, a piece of personal
correspondence from a
friend. I kicked myself when I saw it written on and turned into a rude
note addressed to me,
realizing I should have stuck it in my laptop bag where it would have been
safe rather than leaving
it laying on the table next to my laptop and it could be mistaken for
random scrap paper.

As for the reasonable complaint about tobacco crumbs, noted. Ill be sure to
maintain a sheet of
paper to roll on. And since the table I sit and roll at tends to be the
community rolling station,
especially the isle end, I'll park a similar piece of paper there and make
sure to sweep it before
leaving.

Hi Steve,

I left a note Monday night on the table nearest the fridge, politely asking
you
to clean up the table you've been using regularly. I left my email address
in
case you wanted to discuss things with me.

Instead of cleaning up the table, you wrote a rude response on the same
piece
of paper addressed to me.

That table was covered in disgusting spilled coffee and tobacco and bits of
garbage, a dead car battery, and various other random items. I put things
away
and threw out the garbage, and I cleaned the table with water and paper
towels,
and I left a note addressed to anyone who uses the table to keep it clear.

Sudoroom has had problems in the past with people "camping out" or creating
"man caves" at their favorite spot, and unfortunately treating part of
sudoroom
as their living room or bedroom. This is not something I like to see, and I
hope you understand when I ask you specifically not to do this anymore.

If your activities in sudoroom are messy and involve spills or dirt on a
table,
please clean up the table after you're done and throw away your trash.

And please don't leave any of your personal items on the tables at sudoroom.

I hope this will not continue to be a problem.

thank you,
-jake
