Good point.

Piwik seems to be positioning itself as a privacy-oriented analytics
solution http://piwik.org/privacy/. It offers some IP anonymizing options,
this was especially contributed to include users in Germany concerned with
legal regulations http://dev.piwik.org/trac/ticket/692 and allows for
hashing and masking IP address octets
