Message-ID: Greetings, I first learned about WikiTowns at Wikimania 2012 in Washington, DC. One of my thoughts then was that my curent place of residence - Falls Church, Virginia, USA* - might be an great WikiTown project. At this time, I am considering (finally) proposing it and checking for local interest, but wanted to get a sense of where the WikiTowns effort(s) is (are) in 2015. What is the status of this initiative (or however it should be called)? Noting only 5 wikitown categories on en.wikipedia.org, and that this list has been inactive for 2 years. What advice would members of this list have for someone (potentially a group) contemplating a WikiTown project? Best practices and main problems from existing projects? What are the costs involved per experience of smaller towns (e.g., for printing/posting QRpedia codes) Thanks in advance for any feedback, Don Osborn * https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Falls_Church,_Virginia -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
