These would be great for the Kopimist congregation.
Do we have a hymnal (or equivalent) in the works on the wiki yet?

Most people seem to have a visceral attachment to patents or copyright. Maybe it's more than culture:
"When players were confronted with a free-rider, almost everyone put themselves at the upper end of the anger scale. Fehr and Gachter describe these emotions as a “proximate mechanism”. This means that evolution has built into the human mind a hatred of free-riders and cheaters, which activates anger when we confront people acting like this – and it is this anger which prompts altruistic punishment. In this way, the emotion is evolution’s way of getting us to overcome our short-term self-interest and encourage collective social life"

But in the modern and increasingly decentralized enterprise, there's an almost infinite number of variables to test for that are often beyond the capabilities of an in-house testing team. Not surprisingly, this is where the crowd can play a critical role.

Hello Kopimists,
As founders of a new religion, we should probably take some lessons from
some other previous ones. I was doing just that today as I was researching
in the Vatican. As you know it's the home of a religion that's almost had
the right idea, except their leader, through some tragically bad mobile
phone reception, thought the idea was "fish-sharing". If the cell networks
of their time were up to snuff experts presume they they would have come to
the right conclusion of what sharing is a holy right.
Or was it that this unfortunate error was long ago righted by advanced
post-transmission auto-correction by the secret and masterful gang of
ancient computer scientists sometimes known as The Papal Lineage? Let us
inspect.
The earliest example of high-resolution desktop backgrounds were of course
made in 1502 by hacker Pope Julius II under the Handle M1cha3lang3l0. A
particularly fine specimen is Sistine_Chapel_1920_x_1080.png , beneath I
include a symbolic link I found of it.
Yet, this isn't an ordinary link. Using an exploit of their primitive
operating system the header section of the file was allow to contain
arbitrary data. Jokesters they were, the Pon.tiffs hid a secret key.
Obviously disguised as an actual pair of crossed keys.
Let's zoom in on the left key and rotate 90 degress counterclockwise around
the Tree structure.
Here the clinching evidence is found. Unsurprising for the time, memory was
scarce so all text was displayed in low resolution. Still very clearly it
can be seen two Kapital K's making up the pins of the Keys (I've outlined
one in red). As we all know the pixelated K logo was developed a millenia
before by the great Isak Gerson. This is not unsurprising really when we
recall that Julius II's mysterious, and never explained tranvestite
confession to his progeny may not have been "I is a girl, son"
Yours,
Not confusing
According to this blog,
https://michaelperelman.wordpress.com/2010/01/24/1445/ James O'Connor has
an interesting thought here:
Consider the labor of the ticket seller at a movie house. The seller’s task
is merely to transfer the right to sit in the theater to the movie-goer in
exchange for the price of a ticket. But it may not be immediately obvious
that it is not the lack of a ticket that keeps you out of the theater … The
ticket is actually torn up and discarded by a husky young man who stands
between the box office and the seat that I want.
These guards are a central feature of capitalism. Capitalists depend upon
guard labor to protect their commodities, including the goods and premises
they own, but especially the labor-power in their employ. Capitalism’s
reliance on guard labor deforms the entire productive process, not only
wasting labor, but also snuffing out badly needed creativity.

> Homeland is the sequel to Doctorow's award-winning young adult novel Little Brother, which tackled themes of technology, activism, and the government's increasing hostility to civil liberties.
>
> The first five people to make a reservation will receive a paperback copy of Little Brother at the Booksmith! (Submitting a reservation will help us have a sense of how many friends of EFF are attending, but it is not required.)
>
> Cory sez: "I'll be reading from the book, talking about the themes and my inspiration for writing it, and about how Aaron Swartz contributed to it. I'm hoping that the public appearances turn into a chance to brainstorm about how to keep Aaron's work going. The events are all-ages and kid-friendly, and I'll be happy to sign your books, ereaders, floppy discs, laptops, or whatever."

> January 28, 2013. WTO: Antigua To Retaliate Against US By Suspending IP Rights Protection
>
> After years of unsuccessful negotiations between nations, the World Trade Organization Dispute Settlement Body today gave Antigua and Barbuda the right to impose sanctions against the United States for blocking online gambling. The US was found in violation of WTO rules in 2007 and has failed to resolve the issue, so the Caribbean nation was given the right to retaliate in an area that is likely to force a US response - lifting US intellectual property rights.
