Ok, only Morten replied within 24 hours and the shipping on
this item
takes some time. I've inquired about faster shipping from the seller
but got no response yet.
I decided just to go for it and I have now ordered the genuine Harris
cutting torch and a pack of two 6290 size 000 cutting tips.
6290 is Harris' tip series number. It is a "medium preheat"
oxy-acetylene tip which is good for clean (non dirty / non rusty)
metal. The 000 size is the smallest and is, according to Harris, used
for cutting metal of up to 3/16th of an inch. Our metal is 10-gauge,
which is only 0.0095 inches thicker than 1/8".
I have not yet ordered the security gear (it ships in 24 hours) so if
you have any feedback on that, then there is still time.
Sounds good. Sorry for the delay. I'm down for you ordering the safety
gear too. Just cashed my check so I should have my contribution on
Friday, Thursday at earliest
