Uhm.  This seems like a brilliant idea whether or not EBPREC decides to help with the foreclosure.  Can you think of any reason why this kind of declaration would prevent EBPREC from getting involved in the future?

Another option is to record a cultural easement (or conservation easement) at any time before the foreclosure sale, while title of the property is still in the name of Omni Commons. I recorded a modified copy of the following easement (see link below) on a property owned by my non-profit along with a separate "Notice of Conservation Easement." Once recorded, it is difficult for the dominant authoritarian capitalist species to remove this easement and likewise demolish the building. However, it wouldn't make the Mulberry Trust very happy if they have issues selling the property to developers who are seeking to demolish the building.

Sudo Room is a fiscally sponsored project of Omni. It's a long story, but we actually sacrificed our 501c3 entity to Omni so as to purchase the building back in 2016, so could readily reapply using our previous application materials.

Both leases and fiscal sponsorship agreements can be found in the Omni > Legal folder on the GDrive. Attaching Sudo's here. AFAIK, FS agreements do not need to be resigned annually, unless there are changes such as amount of contribution to Omni.

We currently pay (and have most all of our months at Omni) $2K/month

I am checking in with a community organization that is oriented towards community land trusts about finding a partner organization to join Omni Commons in potentially paying off the mortgage in exchange for equity, etc.

The organization is non-profit 501c3 that is oriented towards preventing the usual capitalist development of land (preventing Omni Commons from being turned into "Omni Condos" or "Omni Shopping Mall", etc.) 
and they work with Sogorea Te' Indigenous Land Trust, among other groups.


Can I find a Sudo Room lease or other formal/informal document that explains how much Sudo Room contributes/pays each month and for how much usage of Omni Commons ? 

I think we (Sudo Room) contribute $ 2000 each month to Omni Commons ?

If I can show a formal or informal lease to this group, they can utilize it to see how the space is structured with the current groups/entities.
