Downtown Denver has a public area “the 16th street mall” with large pedestrian walkways and Bus only transport. The frequency of buses (and the fact that they set a speed limit of ~15-20 mph) means that it’s extremely walkable and safe with plenty of room for bikes. 

Having the buses there really just makes it easier to hop on — you can be finishing your latte at a cafe and walk over to the bus stop when you see it coming.

you guys should definitely join the committees where these designs are debated.
I'm guessing that the city has some meeting where the only participants are
contractors who have drawn up something they'd like to build, and that none of
them have been to europe.
