This brings my heart so much joy reading about this (as I’m just getting into retro analog interests. Typewriters, Sewing Machines, etc).
i'm so glad you finally found it! now follow the white rabbit!
years ago Robb set up an asterisk server and we started setting up a
building-wide VOIP phone network. We got three phones working (the payphone
outside, the phone in sudoroom and one in CCL) but eventually it decayed back
into nonexistence. I know you all think i'm a superhacker but i have been
unable to get asterisk to work ever, even though i have a ton of VOIP phones
that i would love to setup with it. This is me crying out for help.
I will hook up the black rotary phone in the trash room as soon as I can, and
when it rings you better answer.
