Today would have been Marcus's birthday. 🎂 He was a longtime part of this community, and I wanted to personally reach out because I know how many of you were touched by his presence here — whether through late-night hacking sessions, shared meals, or just his particular way of making a room feel a little warmer.

This Saturday, July 25th, we're gathering to celebrate his life:

• 10 AM–12 PM — Garden gathering at OPC, honoring Marcus in a living, growing way

• 1–3 PM — Celebration of Life at the Omni Commons Ballroom

If you knew Marcus, please come if you can — and if you can't make it in person, please consider sharing a memory, photo, or video on the tribute site: https://online-tribute.com/marcuszamani. His family would treasure hearing how he showed up in this space specifically.

We're also looking for hands to help with setup, outreach, costs and day-of logistics — reply here or message me or jenny directly if you can lend even a little time this week, whether as a friend or ally or otherwise.

Marcus gave a lot to this room. This is a small chance to give some of that back to him and his family.
